Andy first stated playing around with sticks in 1964 after being obsessed with the TV series “The Samurai.”
His first martial arts class was judo in 1968 and then he tried a few Karate styles in the following decades, but it wasn’t until he discovered Filipino Kombatan in 1995, through a student that trained with GGM in the 1980’s that changed his life to commit to full time martial arts.
Andy went to the Philippines in 1999 to the “1st Official Kombatan Camp” where he met GGM Presas, his family and team of Lakans. He received an Instructor Certificate from the camp and from that day was determined to dedicate his life to teaching and evolving Kombatan. “GGM was completely supportive of me propagating and evolving his art, always encouraging me to do, especially with his Freestyle”.
Andy has since become a recognised International Combat Instructor having taught Filipino combatives in 30 countries, lately under the name Kali 3D, an evolved system based on GGM’s Kombatan Arnis Presas Style.
