KOMBATAN ARGENTINA
My first contact with Arnis was in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2010, with Guro Gustavo Albertti, who introduced the Modern Arnis de Mano Kombatan Presas Style in the Argentine Republic (since 1998).
Since then, my martial activity, both practice and teaching, has been focused on Kombatan, such was the impact and change that knowing the richness and versatility of the Filipino martial arts produced in me.
Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Full Contact, Aikido, Kung Fu Wai Kung Pai, traced my path through martial arts and combat for more than 30 years of practice and training, finally leading to Kombatan.
Kombatan managed not only to integrate and enhance everything I had learned previously, but also exponentially expand my possibilities of learning and martial growth, due to the characteristics and richness of Arnis, and of FMA in general.
My professional performance as a Physical Education Teacher, Coach of the Argentine National Artistic Gymnastics Team, Physical Trainer in Artistic Sports, and as a University Professor in the Teaching of Individual Sports, constantly marked the way in which I always developed my martial practice, enriching it both from the knowledge and scientific foundations of training, as well as from the concepts of pedagogy, to approach the teaching and dissemination of Kombatan from a comprehensive and overcoming perspective.
During all these years, we have preserved the spirit of the original Kombatan style of GGM Ernesto Presas Sr, both in the development and application of techniques, the dynamics of movement in combat, as well as in the versatility that characterizes it. Especially since our incorporation into E.K.A., the contributions and collaboration received from the most outstanding European representatives of the association, especially GM Tomi Harell, and Senior Master Salvador Caballero, have contributed to update and redesign the program of our Kombatan school in Argentina, resulting in an enriched development program, which we have named FMA Kombat Style Argentina.
Through its training groups, FMA Kombat Style Argentina continues, in a renewed and updated way, to develop in Argentina the original style of GGM Ernesto Presas Sr, sharing with E.K.A. the same objectives of teaching, development, improvement and diffusion of Kombatan at a global level.
